Welcome to CK Lunedi!
Image
In keeping with Lund’s international tradition, CK Lunedi welcomes visitors to participate in the club’s activities. This page is for those who cannot understand Swedish, and will provide you with some basic information about the club in English.

What is CK Lunedi?
CK Lunedi is a club for cycle sport enthusiasts. The club is open for all cyclists, regardless of ambition or capacity. Currently the club numbers more than 100 members, ranging from dedicated cyclists training intensively in preparation for races to those who simply enjoy biking with a group of like-minded cyclists. While the majority of our members are road bikers, there are many members who also participate in cyclocross and mountain biking.

How to Participate
The only requirements that we have for participation are that you feel comfortable riding in a group of other cyclists, you wear a helmet, and you are familiar with the club’s training policy. Feel free to join in our rides any time. We do not require membership for participation in the rides but do hope that you enjoy yourself so much that you will want to join the club as a member. The membership fee is currently SEK 200 / year.
You are also free to participate via our web forum. While most of the posts are in Swedish, we welcome (and will answer) posts in English as well. In the forum you can post questions about the club, training, bicycle repair, or almost anything else related to bicycles and biking in Scania.

Training
Our training schedule during the season follows:
Tuesdays 6:15 PM,
Thursdays 6:15 PM
Sundays 9 AM.
All rides start at Clemenstorget, the square not far away from the railway station. The local bike store, Cykelcity is located on the same square. We recommend arriving early and letting someone in a CK Lunedi jersey know that it is your first time so that you can receive some personal information about the day’s ride.
The trainings on Tuesdays and Thursdays take roughly two hours (usually 50-60 kilometers), while the Sunday rides are a bit longer. Riders divide themselves into two or three groups at the beginning of the ride. The fastest group averages 35-40 km/h while the slowest group averages 25-30 km/h. Sunday rides are at a slower pace. If you’re unsure of which group to join, please ask one of our members.
